Cosa succede quando l’occhio del fotografo prova a catturare l’invisibile? Recentemente, insieme al collega Ettore Belgrado, ho avuto il piacere di inaugurare presso il Centro Civico di Ca’ Savio la mostra fotografica “Musica in Movimento”, un progetto interamente dedicato al Coro Cantori di Cavallino.
L’idea alla base di questo lavoro è stata quella di superare la staticità del ritratto tradizionale. Non volevamo limitarci a documentare la presenza dei coristi, ma cercavamo di tradurre visivamente l’energia, il respiro e la coesione che rendono un coro un’entità unica.
Il Concept: Oltre il visibile
In fotografia, spesso cerchiamo la nitidezza assoluta. In questo progetto, invece, abbiamo eletto il movimento a protagonista. Attraverso gesti, ritmi ed espressioni colte nel loro divenire, abbiamo cercato di restituire quella dimensione emotiva che solitamente appartiene solo all’udito.
Le immagini spaziano da momenti di assoluta spontaneità a movimenti corali studiati, riflettendo quel delicato equilibrio tra individualità e armonia collettiva.
Un’opera unica: Le note umane
Uno dei momenti più emozionanti del progetto è rappresentato dalla composizione in cui i volti e i corpi dei partecipanti, ripresi durante le prove, sono stati inseriti all’interno di righi musicali.
Non si è trattato di un semplice esercizio grafico: su queste basi, la Maestra del coro ha successivamente vergato a mano una melodia originale. Il risultato è un’opera autentica e irripetibile, dove il confine tra chi canta e la musica stessa scompare del tutto.
Un dono alla comunità
Questa mostra non è stata solo un evento espositivo, ma un atto di amore verso il territorio di Cavallino-Treporti. Per questo motivo, abbiamo deciso di donare tutti gli scatti e i file originali al Comune di Ca’ Savio. Ci piace l’idea che questo lavoro diventi un piccolo archivio storico e artistico, un ricordo tangibile della dedizione e della passione di questa realtà culturale.

What happens when a photographer’s lens tries to capture the invisible? Recently, alongside my colleague Ettore Belgrado, I had the pleasure of opening the photography exhibition “Musica in Movimento” (Music in Motion) at the Ca’ Savio Civic Center—a project entirely dedicated to the Coro Cantori di Cavallino.
The core idea of this work was to break away from the stillness of traditional portraiture. We didn’t want to simply document the presence of the choir members; we sought to visually translate the energy, the breath, and the cohesion that turn a choir into a single, living entity.
The Concept: Beyond the Visible
In photography, we often strive for absolute sharpness. In this project, however, we chose movement as our protagonist. Through gestures, rhythms, and expressions caught in flux, we attempted to convey the emotional dimension that usually belongs only to the sense of hearing.
The images range from moments of pure spontaneity to shared, choreographed movements, reflecting that delicate balance between individuality and collective harmony.
A Unique Work: Human Notes
One of the most evocative pieces in the project is a composition where the participants, captured during rehearsals, are placed within musical staves, as if they were becoming the music itself.
This wasn’t just a graphic exercise: on this very base, the Choir Director hand-wrote an original melody, creating an authentic and unrepeatable work of art where the boundary between the singer and the song completely disappears.
A Gift to the Community
This exhibition was more than just a display; it was an act of love for the Cavallino-Treporti area. For this reason, we have decided to donate all the photographs and original files to the Municipality of Ca’ Savio. We love the idea of this work becoming a small historical and artistic archive—a tangible memory of the dedication and passion of this local cultural treasure.
